DAVE PROSSNER - BIO Dave Prossner started his wind power business back in Upstate New York where he was the largest windmill dealer in the state. He constructed 19 wind turbines, most of which were Jacobs 10KW and 17.5KW units. Customers included private homes, businesses, dairy farms, public schools and a State university. He constructed the first generator at a public school in Waterville, NY and the first one at a public university at The State University of NY at Morrisville. He founded and was the first president of the New York Wind Energy Association, a collection of all wind generator dealers who banded together to lobby with State legislators and the Public Service Commission.Dave then went on to become Carter Wind System's VP of Sales and Marketing in Burkburnett, TX. where he set up Carter Wind's national dealer network for their 25KW generator. He also worked for a year on the California Wind Farms where he promoted Carter Wind's 250KW machine for wind farm applications. While in Texas he was one of the founders of TREIA, the Texas Renewable Energy Industry Association which promoted wind power growth throughout Texas.Dave has a BS degree in Economics from The Wharton School of Finance at The University of Pennsylvania so he fully understands the cash flow implications of installing a wind generator. He has run and managed several small businesses and continues to follow the wind industry's growth. With the new federal emphasis on wind power in the nation's utility mix, there are several new incentives to installing a wind generator in good locations. Before you spend thousands on a wind generator for your location, it makes sense to invest a few hours and a consulting fee to have Dave come out and do a site evaluation and go over what to expect during the construction process, estimate what your total electrical savings might be, and help you make the right decision. Dave is not affiliated with any manufacturer or dealer, but can give you recommendations as to the size generator you need and manufacturers who have a good reliable reputation. |
